Navigating the New World of the Survivor Circuit and Weekly Contests

Salary Cap Survivor contests represent a completely new game format for BaseHit, and we’ve been putting together the infrastructure of tracking tools and reporting systems to support them. With updates happening regularly and The Survivor Circuit adding another type of competition, we know it is probably hard to keep up with what is there and how to find it.

I’m putting together this guide to walk you through everything we’ve built so far, following the actual navigation flow of the site so you can explore as you read.

Starting Point: The Contests Dropdown

Everything begins with the Contests dropdown in the main toolbar (next to Leagues). This dropdown is your gateway to the entire Survivor ecosystem and contains:

  • All Contests – the main hub for contest discovery
  • Leaderboards and Stats – platform-wide tracking and Circuit standings
  • Your contest entries – direct links to any contests you’ve entered

Note: We’re got a personal contest stats page COMING SOON that will consolidate much of your entry data so your dropdown doesn’t continue to explode as you play more contests.

Review Contest Details
Before you register for a contest and even after you are registered – the specific contest page is a good reference point, like Survivor Circuit – Leg 1 this week. This page contains refresher on the weeks rules, format, and schedule of events – consider it your condensed contest rulebook.

During the Contest: Daily Tracking

Your Personal Entry Dashboard
After you’ve registered for a contest, your personal entry page is a good place to land each day to check results and make any changes to your team that you need : example from this week: 50 Shades of Failure. (This entry is still alive as I write this, possibly due to the reverse jinx?)

The “Check Entry Progress” Feature – Your Spoiler-Free Friend
This is a great feature – want a little drama when you check on how your team is faring for the day – click the “Check Entry Progress” button on your entry page and watch the suspense as your bars slowly fill – if they stop short of the cutoff line, you’ve been eliminated and it’s time to start blaming people! (and/or register for the next week’s contest!) Just a fun way to check your status without immediately seeing full results.

Full Contest Standings
If you prefer instant transparency, check the contest standings page. Here you can see exactly where you stand, how everyone else is performing, and track the elimination progression throughout the week including keeping up on tiebreakers for those final day cuts.

Do some Recon: Player Frequency Data
Visit the contest players page and click the “Frequency” tab. This shows you the pickup rate for each player and how many teams with each player have survived each round. It’s invaluable data for getting to know what is working and what isn’t and planning future strategy.

Leaderboards and Stats: Your Performance Hub

Click Leaderboards and Stats from the Contests dropdown to do some tracking of how you and your buddies are doing in contest. This section houses both your overall weekly contest data and Survivor Circuit tracking

Overall Performance Leaderboard
The newly revamped sitewide contest stats page shows results across all contests. Key features include:

  • Leaderboard rankings to see how you stack up against other players
  • Your Average Round Achieved (ARA) – a great measure of consistency
  • Green and red status markers showing who has current teams alive or eliminated this week

Season Standings Dashboard
The season standings page is where you track your progress in The Survivor Circuit, our 10-contest blitz leading towards the first sitewide circuit championship (that you should really get in on if you haven’t already, win some money, have some fun). You can see point totals after each week, upcoming contests you can register for, and just follow how the Circuit is unfolding.

The Contest Lab: Building for the Future

Just something worth noting when you are hearing about the contests – these weekly contests serve as a development lab for the entire BaseHit platform. The tracking infrastructure and features we’re building aren’t just for contests; they’re going to inform updates coming to our dynastic league game.

Contest Data Driving Platform Innovation
Every week of Survivor contests generates valuable data about player behavior, strategic decision-making, and feature usage. We’re using these insights to develop game updates that will benefit all BaseHit users, not just contest participants.

Cross-Platform Infrastructure Development
Many of the interface enhancements, user achievement systems, and new stats formats we’re developing for the Survivor Circuit will enhance the dynastic league experience. Additionally, gameplay enhancements that users have long requested can be tested and refined in the weekly contest format before being implemented in ongoing league seasons.

Coming Soon: Enhanced Tracking

Personal User Stats Page
We’re launching a dedicated personal stats page that will give you deep insights into your contest history and performance trends.

Team Performance Analytics
A new team stats page is on it’s way to let you see how your team batting, pitching, and fielding performance compares against other teams in the contest

Making Sense of It All

We know there’s a lot here – we’re building tracking infrastructure for a completely new game format, and new features are launching regularly. The key is knowing that all these tools exist and gradually incorporating them into your Survivor routine.

Quick Navigation Reminders:

  • Start with the Contests dropdown for everything
  • Use “All Contests” for discovery and planning
  • Access your entries directly from the dropdown for personal tracking
  • Check “Leaderboards and Stats” for platform-wide performance

We’re Here to Help: As we continue building out this Survivor ecosystem, if you have questions about any features or ideas for building this out, continue to reach out to us.

This is uncharted territory for everyone – players and developers alike. But that’s what makes it exciting. Good luck in this week’s contest, and may your teams survive all the way to weekend.
