We’ve got some exciting updates rolling out this week, headlined by a major upgrade to our box scores. Let’s dig in.
October Updates are Live
We’ve pushed out today’s site update with several improvements and fixes. The release notes are available here – October Updates 2025 – if you want the full details, including the out-of-position catcher defense changes that have been in the works for the past month. Check it out to see everything that’s new.
Box Scores Get a Major Upgrade
This is a big one. We’re rolling out significantly enhanced box scores across the game, adding running stats that you’d expect to see on any modern baseball site.

Look close and you’ll see 2Bs, 3Bs, HRs, Wins, Saves, and much more tracked throughout games. Even better, BA and OPS are now displayed on each player’s line, so you can see exactly where a player stood at any point during the season.
And something extra new and special: hit streaks of 10 games or more added on the top right on box scores. Because everyone loves a good hitting streak.
These features have been requested many times, and it’s a ton of backend work to make it happen. We have to crunch through entire league histories to populate these stats, which means they’ll be rolling out gradually over the coming week or two. Keep an eye on your leagues—when the update hits, you’ll know. Once your league has been updated, box scores should be fully populated later in the hour when they occur as we get the system up and running.
Survivor Circuit Finals Wrap & This Week’s Contest
The Survivor Circuit Finals wrapped up this week, and….I won my own contest, which I know is uncool. But more importantly, we want to again thank the more than 150 folks who participated in the Survivor contests over the past several weeks. We learned a ton from watching you play, and we’re already working on revisions for the next version of the circuit. Keep the feedback coming—your suggestions have been invaluable.
This week we’re running Survivor Freestyle #3 (https://www.basehit.com/contest/37 – register by Monday Night, 1030 PM EDT), and this one has a special twist. We’re using 15 historical teams as your opponents—and in another surprise twist – these aren’t championship squads. These are the worst teams from the 15 BaseHit leagues with the most seasons played. The Hall of Shame. The basement dwellers. If you played in any of these leagues, you might recognize your handiwork….
